Please meet Lisa Aiken, who brings her very eclectic background and love of Israel into her tour guiding. She has been a licensed Israeli tour guide since 2004, is a part-time clinical psychologist who does individual and couples therapy, and is a renowned speaker on Jewish topics who has given lectures in more than 200 cities on five continents.
In addition, she is the author of 11 popular Judaica books, including To Be a Jewish Woman, Guide for the Romantically Perplexed, and The Family Guide to Touring Israel.
Dr. Aiken has guided a wide variety of individuals and groups, ranging from American eighth-graders to gap year students studying in Israel; professionals and academicians (Jewish and non-Jewish); synagogue, temple, and women’s missions; bar/bat mitzvah and family groups across the Jewish spectrum.
She makes history, religion, archaeology, and nature come alive and loves to spice up touring with wonderful stories and with experiences that aren’t found on standard tours. She loves to hike, but is also experienced working with physically disabled clients.
