Nazareth and Christmas Festivities

Nazareth and Christmas Festivities

One of the enchanted places to celebrate Christmas in Israel is in the city of Nazareth.
It usually begins with a Christmas Festival-Market, about a week before the holiday, a weekend event that lasts between 11:00 am to 23:00 pm. A variety of shows will be held indoors and outdoors for children as well as for the entire family.

The cornerstone of the festival is celebrated by lightening the Christmas-Tree, at the Fountain-circle in the city, a ceremony held by Religious leaders of the city.
Aside the events, a variety of market-stalls will offer the many Nazareth goods.

Festivities will last until the beginning g of January.
Christmas main evening events include the traditional Christmas –Parade, along route Paulus the 6th until it reaches the Greek Orthodox Annunciation Church.
Fireworks and an All-open prayer is usually held at 19:00 pm.
